Edith Durham durante il suo viaggio
nel nord dell’Albania dice di lui:
“Nike Leka in persona ci ha portato
a Scutari, abbiamo cercato di rispet-
tarlo affinché soggiornasse all’hotel
Tozhli. Da parte nostra manterremo
a lungo l’amicizia che abbiamo tretto
e l’ospitalità e la compagnia che ci
ha datto
attraverso Gegni”. Morì l’11
settembre 1911, avvelenato
in un bar di Guci

Edith Durham during the trip to
northern Albania says of him: “Nike
Leka himself took us to Scutari,
we tried to respect him so that he
stayed at the Tozhli hotel. For our
part, we will maintain for a long
time the friendship we forged and
the hospitality and company he
gave us through Gegni”. He died on
September 11, 1911, poisoned in a
bar in Guci.
