Dede Gjo Luli (seduto) fu un im-
portante patriota albanese, noto
per aver guidato la Rivolta del
1911 nelle Grandi Alpi Albanesi.
Come membro della Lega di Priz-
ren, difese attivamente i territori
albanesi, inclusi Hoti e Gruda,
dalle decisioni territoriali del Con-
gresso di Berlino, che miravano a
cedere queste aree al Principato
del Montenegro. Tragicamente, fu
ucciso in un’imboscata dalle forze
serbe. Nella foto, appare con suo

Dede Gjo Luli (seated) was a
prominent Albanian patriot known
for leading the 1911 Uprising in
the Great Highlands. As a mem-
ber of the League of Prizren, he
actively de- fended Albanian
territories, including Hoti and Gru-
da, from the territorial decisions
of the Congress of Berlin, which
aimed to cede these areas
to the Principality of Montenegro.
Tragically, he was killed in an
ambush by Serbian forces. In the
photo, he appears with his son,
Kola.
